Bohol, Philippines

Arrived on this Island, South of Philippines on 23rd February 2013. Its an hour flight from Manila via Philippines Airlines(PAL). I am also recommending this airline to you..comfortable and pleasant service.

We stayed at the Bellevue Resort, 5 star, opened in November 2012. I truly loved this resort, was worth every penny spent. Food spread and service was fantastic. As its still newly opened, the Gym and the Spa are still under construction.

Here are couple of things to see on this Island….

1. Chocolate Hills - There are at least 1,260 hills but there may be as many as 1,776 hills spread over an area of more than 50 square kilometres. They are covered in green grass that turns brown (like chocolate) during the dry season, hence the name.

2. Tarsier - The Philippine tarsier is not a large animal; it measures only about 85 to 160 millimetres (3.35 to 6.30 in) in height, making it one of the smallest primates. The small size makes it difficult to spot. Expect to find them sleeping during the day.

3. Hidangnan Cave -is a cave on Panglao Island, in Bohol Province, in the Philippines. It is a naturally lighted cavern with a deep lagoon and many large stalactites and stalagmites
