#embarrassing moments

Yesterday, had sort of a minor swelling on my lower left arm. As i am about to travel soon, decided to get it checked out at the nearest clinic in Rawang. This is not the panel clinic, but the clinic is used to take my mum to. Normally the doctors here are elderly experienced ones. So i prefer to go here instead of the panel clinic.

I walked in, registered and then was called to see the Doc. And guess what happened, the Doctor on duty was an extremely good looking Punjabi guy….i mean reallly gggggooooooooodddd looking, hot, cute, whatever! After checking my arms, to which i was speechlessly staring at him, he said i should take a jab and told me to lie down.  I actually asked him if he could jab on my arms instead, then he said “ oh don’t be shy, the jab on the arms will hurt, better on the buttocks!!” That was sooo embarrassing, i just dashed out of the room as soon as he finished , as fast as i could…….darn it! what a timing!!!!

what the…….

I was suppose to fly out tonight to Frankfurt. But due to some odd circumstances, my passport IS at the moment lying somewhere in The China Embassy!!!! Despite telling them , i have a flight to catch tonight, they have refused to release it.

So I have now rescheduled the flight to Monday, flying via Singapore instead. The plan is that my passport is delivered to KLIA by 1030 am, so that i can make it for the 1150am flight to Singapore. I sure pray and hope PLAN B works out! Hope you’ll pray for me too!! huhuu

Last Friday Night…..

After a long break from the pub scene, we decided to head to Laundry once again for a night out. For some reason we found that it was getting a little boring. Then we started to google for pubs around PJ which has good music bands, and found one near called Dirty Nelly’s @ Damansara Jaya. To our suprise, living in Damansara Jaya and not knowing about this pub!

I sort of reckon this is going to be my regular hangout place, the band which plays Fridays here is REALLY WORTH checkin out! They play all the current hits as well as 80s music. The place is owned by Prem, George and Fabian from 8TV/Fly FM fame.

Treasure Hunt @ Bukit Gambang 2011

Date: 15th Oct 2011

Destination : Bukit Gambang , Kuantan

Organiser: Malaysian Hunt Club

Team Name : Globe Trekkers

Attempted this year Siemens Treasure Hunt event with usual Trekkers Suzy and Clarise. Kath’s placed was filled in by newcomer Arul.

We were the FIRST team to register for this event, and was also the FIRST car to flag off! Was a little ironic.

Here we go!

IMG_0442

First destination was TTDI, completed 2 questions there, then headed to make photocopies of the question paper. Next proceeded to Mutiara Damansara, for another question, then headed to TESCO to solve our treasure questions. To our surprise none of the other teams were there! Well maybe they have other strategies, right.

Managed to figure out Dutch Lady Milk, Minute Maid, Mentos,Tong Garden and Milo. Now we have to get the right product which fits the clue. After spending about 30minutes, got our purchases minus Tong Garden as we couldn’t find the right packet in Tesco. Although the Mentos was a little doubtful, we purchased a packet which we felt would probably fit the answer. From there we headed to Karak, then Maran solving questions here n there.

Here we were trying to find a local religious person who seems to have lost his bike!! AJI-NO-MOTO

The control check at Bukit Gambang is from 3pm-3.30pm. Which means that any cars arriving after 3.30pm will be automatically disqualified.

Here’s the 3rd irony, we were the FIRST team to reach Gambang!! It was a shocking information as few teams passed us on the highways…hmmm…wonder where they went…

First time in Bukit Gambang, the place looks preety cool for a short holiday

gggrrrrrrr………

Last night, met up with a lady doctor in her thirties at a social event. While in conversation, i found out what a true believer of caste system she is. As sooooon as i did, i couldn't wait to get away from her!! I was totally disgusted Annoyed, i could not accept the fact that someone so young, has such a ridiculous mind set. She claims she will only marry the person of the same caste!!! And what, you are doctor??? Wonder if you only treat and save someone of your own caste. She completely believed that mix marriages does NOT work. I  wonder under which SHELL has she been under all this while! Hey people, its the 21st century, we are global and  borderless. Live it up, stop holding on to such absurd practises of the past!

Here’s someone i admire…….Jillian Micheals

She ‘s known as the toughest trainer in America, and I was initially hooked up to her workout videos. She’s not just the toughest, but also the most passionate trainer ever, very rarely you see someone sooo dedicated in her line of work. I guessed thats what got her where she is now! You gotta watch her on AXN on Sunday at 3pm “Losing It With Jiillian”. Amazing things she does. I totally admire this Lady. So much of guts and determination, oh and yes, very charitable person as well.

Fun Krabi

To really experience whole of Krabi, you’ll need a solid 3 days at least, excluding your travel days. Otherwise its not really worth the trip.

You’ll need 1 full day for island hopping and another 2 day to explore and do things in Krabi itself like canoeing, swimming in hot spring and pools, elephant riding, ATV, hiking etc plus shopping of course!:-)

We stayed at Krabi Resort and Spa, the one and only resort with a private beach in Ao nang.

i would rate this place 3 out of 5. Food is good here and Beach bungalows are really spacious.

DSC_0016 DSC_0013 DSC_0017 Ao Nang is pretty laid back, lots of shops for beach stuff, knick nacks, t-shirt, outlets for divers, and not forgetting restaurant with yummy delicious Thai cuisine.

Things we did…

Canoeing  at the mangrove swamp

Go for the bumpy Elephant ride, if you lucky it may take a shower, while you are sitting on it!
